Volunteers are the backbone of the Top End Mud Racing Association. Without them, our events simply wouldn’t run. From setting up the track to ensuring safety protocols are met, every role plays a crucial part in delivering a safe, exciting, and well-organised race night.
What is a volunteer?
A volunteer gives their time, skills, and energy without financial payment, helping the club run events purely for the love of the sport and the community.
There are a range of roles that you can register your interest with. When registering please note your preferred position however some positions may require existing experience or may already be filled:
We want to ensure our volunteers not only have all the resources they need to deliver their role, as a club we like to show our appreciation with other benefits including:
1. Register as a Official and immediately have access to key correspondence from our Officials Co-Ordinator.
2. Approximately 5 days prior to each race meeting, you will receive a text message to confirm your availability for the upcoming meeting which you can confirm with responding Y or N.
On the day of the event, you’ll check in with the Officials coordinator at the presentation area and enjoy a meal before the racing begins. You’ll also gather with all the volunteers for a briefing meeting with the Clerk of Course to go over any new information relevant to the night. After that, its time to get out there and have some fun!
Each Race meet the Officials Co-Ordinator & the Race Director will select two Officials from the last the Race Meeting. The selected recipients will be awarded a $50 Dinner Voucher & Family Min Golf Pass for Palmerston Golf Club
