Volunteers are crucial to the Top End Mud Racing Association, serving as the foundation for both the club and its events. Their commitment is vital for seamless operations, whether its setting up the track or overseeing safety protocols. Volunteers also strengthen the community spirit, fostering a sense camaraderie among participants and spectators.
Positions
There are a range of roles that you can register your interest with. When registering please note your preferred position however some positions may require existing experience or may already be filled:
- Recovery
- Timing
- Bar Staff
- Form up
Volunteer Benefits
We want to ensure our volunteers not only have all the resources they need to deliver their role, as a club we like to show our appreciation with other benefits including:
- Complimentary membership with voting rights **Not all clubs offer this, you need to purchase a season paying membership to be eligible for voting rights.
- Complimentary annual MSA officials license
- Meals provided at the start of each meeting
- Volunteer shirt when a minimum of 3 events are completed in a race season
- Complimentary presentation night ticket when a minimum of 3 events are completed
- Invitation to end of race night presentation with BBQ throughout the race season

What to Expect
1. Register as a volunteer and immediately have access to key correspondence from our Volunteer Co-ordinator.
2. Approximately 5 days prior to each race meeting, you will receive a text message to confirm your availability for the upcoming meeting which you can confirm with responding Y or N.

On the day of the event, you’ll check in with the volunteer coordinator at the presentation area and enjoy a meal before the racing begins. You’ll also gather with all the volunteers for a briefing meeting with the Clerk of Course to go over any new information relevant to the night. After that, its time to get out there and have some fun!

The day after the event, you’ll receive an email with an opportunity to provide feedback. This email will also allow you to nominate your choice for Volunteer of the Meeting. The selected recipient chosen by the volunteer coordinator, will be awarded a $50 voucher at the following meeting.
